MerchantFlow Demo Mode

Explore MerchantFlow with sample data before connecting a live Shopify or WooCommerce store. Try the dashboard, P&L reports, and marketing analytics risk-free.

MerchantFlow Demo Mode

Demo Mode is a risk-free way to explore MerchantFlow's e-commerce analytics dashboard using sample data, without connecting a live store or entering billing details. It is designed for merchants and agencies who want to evaluate the platform's reporting capabilities before committing to a full setup.

How to Start Demo Mode

After creating your account, choose Explore with Demo Data on the /onboarding/choice screen.

MerchantFlow then sends you to the dashboard with:

  • Sample products representing a typical e-commerce catalog
  • Sample P&L and marketing views showing revenue, expenses, and ad performance
  • Demo banners and prompts that clearly indicate you are not looking at live data

What Is Demo Mode Used For?

Use Demo Mode when you want to:

  • Evaluate the interface before connecting a store or marketing channels
  • Show MerchantFlow to teammates during an internal evaluation or demo session
  • Understand reports, P&L views, and marketing dashboards before a live rollout
  • Compare features against other e-commerce analytics tools

What Demo Mode Does Not Include

Demo Mode does not:

  • Connect Shopify or WooCommerce automatically
  • Sync live Google Analytics, Search Console, or ad-platform data
  • Activate a production billing relationship
  • Display your actual store revenue, orders, or expenses

All data shown in Demo Mode is pre-generated sample data for evaluation purposes only.

How to Switch from Demo to Live Data

You can move from Demo Mode to a live setup at any time using three methods:

  • Click the demo banner CTA displayed at the top of the dashboard
  • Navigate to the Setup Guide for a structured checklist
  • Open /onboarding/commerce directly if your workspace is ready for live setup

Once you switch to live onboarding, MerchantFlow uses the standard merchant flow:

commerce -> fulfillment -> marketing -> balance -> funding -> payment -> complete

After completing onboarding, your demo data is replaced with live data from your connected integrations. See Connect Integrations for the full integration setup process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Demo Mode expire?

No. Demo Mode does not have a time limit. You can explore the sample dashboard for as long as you need before transitioning to live data.

Will I lose demo data when I switch to live mode?

Yes. Once you connect a live commerce platform and complete onboarding, your workspace transitions from sample data to your actual store data. The demo data is no longer displayed.

Can agencies use Demo Mode?

Agency and partner accounts follow a different onboarding path that routes directly to the agency dashboard. However, individual merchants invited by an agency can still explore Demo Mode on their own workspace. See Agency Workflows for agency-specific setup.

Do I need to enter payment information for Demo Mode?

No. Demo Mode does not require a credit card, Stripe checkout, or Shopify billing approval. Billing is only required when you transition to a live workspace with connected integrations.
