MerchantFlow Account Management Guide

MerchantFlow account management is the centralized hub where workspace owners and team members control profile settings, security configurations, team access, and billing ownership for their e-commerce analytics platform.

What Are the Main Account Areas in MerchantFlow?

  • Profile - your name, email, and personal preferences
  • Security - password, verification, and two-factor authentication (2FA)
  • Team - workspace members, invitations, and role changes
  • Billing - available to the workspace owner

How MerchantFlow Workspace Roles Work

MerchantFlow uses four active workspace roles:

  • owner
  • admin
  • analyst
  • viewer

You may still see member on older workspaces or historical data. That label is treated as backward-compatible analyst access.

What Each Role Can Do

  • Owners have full workspace access, including billing and ownership transfer
  • Admins can manage teammates, integrations, syncs, and workspace settings, but not billing ownership
  • Analysts can work with dashboards, expenses, COGS, syncs, and order views
  • Viewers have read-only access to core dashboards

How to Invite Team Members

Workspace owners and admins can invite:

  • admin
  • analyst
  • viewer

Invited users complete:

  1. the invitation acceptance form
  2. password creation
  3. 2FA setup

What Security Features Does MerchantFlow Use?

MerchantFlow currently uses:

  • email verification for important account actions such as Stripe checkout
  • authenticator-app 2FA for direct real-data onboarding and invited users
  • password reset flows for account recovery

How do I access my MerchantFlow account settings?

Navigate to Settings from your dashboard. Click your profile icon in the top right corner and select the relevant settings tab for profile, security, team, or billing options.

Can I have multiple workspaces on one account?

Each workspace operates independently with its own team, integrations, and billing. Contact [email protected] for multi-workspace questions.

What happens if the workspace owner leaves?

The owner must transfer ownership to another team member before leaving. Ownership transfer downgrades the previous owner to admin.

How do I change my role in a workspace?

Only owners and admins can change roles. Ask your workspace owner or admin to update your role from Settings > Team.
