Connect Google Ads — MerchantFlow
How to connect Google Ads to MerchantFlow for campaign spend tracking, ROAS analysis, and paid search performance in your e-commerce dashboard.
Connect Google Ads to MerchantFlow
The Google Ads integration brings campaign spend, clicks, impressions, and paid performance data into MerchantFlow for unified ad spend tracking and ROAS analysis. Google Ads uses the same shared Google OAuth connection as GA4, Search Console, and Merchant Center -- no separate login required.
What Is the Google Ads Integration?
MerchantFlow's Google Ads integration syncs your Google Ads campaign data into the MerchantFlow dashboard alongside your commerce and other marketing data. This allows you to see Google Ads spend in your P&L reports, track return on ad spend (ROAS), and compare Google Ads performance against other channels like Meta Ads and TikTok Ads.
Availability
Google Ads is conditionally available depending on your MerchantFlow environment.
If the Google configuration modal shows Coming Soon for Google Ads:
- Your MerchantFlow environment is not currently configured for Google Ads sync
- GA4, Search Console, and Merchant Center can still be connected normally
What You Need
When Google Ads is available, MerchantFlow expects:
- MerchantFlow owner or admin access with integration management permissions
- Verified email and two-factor authentication enabled (Security Settings)
- A Google account that can access the Google Ads customer account you want to sync
How to Connect Google Ads
- Connect Google from onboarding or Settings > Integrations
- Open Configure Google Services
- Select the Google Ads customer account you want to sync
- Save the configuration
There is no separate Google login for Ads. MerchantFlow reuses the shared Google OAuth grant that also covers GA4, Search Console, and Merchant Center.
What Data Does MerchantFlow Sync from Google Ads?
- Campaign spend -- daily ad spend across campaigns
- Clicks and impressions -- traffic volume metrics
- Paid performance -- visible in marketing dashboards, attribution views, and ad spend reports
Troubleshooting Google Ads Issues
If Google Ads is available but the expected account is missing:
- Confirm the connected Google user has access to that customer account
- Reconnect Google if account access changed recently
- Reopen Configure Google Services after reconnecting and save the correct customer ID
- See Troubleshooting Integrations for general connection fixes
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Google Ads show "Coming Soon"?
Google Ads availability depends on your MerchantFlow environment configuration. If you see "Coming Soon," the feature is not yet enabled for your workspace. Other Google services (GA4, Search Console, Merchant Center) work independently.
Do I need a separate Google login for Ads?
No. Google Ads uses the same shared OAuth connection as all other Google services in MerchantFlow. You authorize once and select which services and accounts to sync.
Can I track Google Shopping Ads specifically?
Yes. Google Shopping campaign spend flows through the Google Ads integration and appears in your MerchantFlow marketing dashboards and P&L ad spend views.
