Connect Google Search Console — MerchantFlow
How to connect Google Search Console to MerchantFlow for organic search tracking, keyword performance, and SEO visibility in your analytics dashboard.
Connect Google Search Console to MerchantFlow
The Search Console integration connects your verified Google Search Console site to MerchantFlow through the shared Google OAuth flow. This brings organic search data -- queries, clicks, impressions, and average position -- into your e-commerce analytics dashboard alongside your paid advertising and commerce data.
What Is the Search Console Integration?
MerchantFlow's Search Console integration syncs organic search performance data from Google Search Console so you can track SEO visibility alongside your paid channels and commerce metrics. The integration provides:
- Search queries -- which keywords drive organic traffic to your store
- Clicks and impressions -- volume of organic search traffic
- Average position -- your ranking position for tracked queries
- Organic performance context -- enriches MerchantFlow reporting with SEO data
How to Connect Search Console
- Connect Google from onboarding or Settings > Integrations
- Open Configure Google Services
- Choose the verified Search Console site you want to sync
- Save the configuration
Search Console uses the same shared Google OAuth grant as GA4, Merchant Center, and Google Ads.
What to Expect After Setup
- MerchantFlow stores the selected
siteUrl - Future syncs use that site for all Search Console data pulls
- If you recently changed the selected site, a targeted Google sync via Manual Sync is the fastest way to refresh the data
Note: Search Console data is not perfectly real-time. Very recent days can lag behind actual store activity, which is a limitation of the Search Console API itself.
Troubleshooting Search Console Issues
If the site is missing from the configuration list:
- Confirm the Google account has verified access to that Search Console property
- Reconnect Google if ownership or permissions changed
- Verify the site is actually present in Search Console for that Google login
- See Troubleshooting Integrations for additional help
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Search Console data delayed?
Search Console data from Google typically has a 2-3 day delay. This is a Google API limitation, not a MerchantFlow issue. The most recent days in your reports may show incomplete data.
Can I connect multiple Search Console sites?
Each MerchantFlow merchant workspace connects to one Search Console site. For multiple sites, use separate workspaces or an agency workspace.
How does Search Console data complement GA4?
GA4 provides traffic and session data after users arrive at your site. Search Console shows what users searched for before clicking through -- queries, impressions, and ranking positions. Together, they give a complete picture of organic search performance.
