Connect Meta Ads — MerchantFlow
How to connect Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) to MerchantFlow for ad spend tracking, campaign performance, and ROAS analysis.
Connect Meta Ads to MerchantFlow
The Meta Ads integration connects your Facebook and Instagram advertising accounts to MerchantFlow via OAuth, bringing campaign performance, ad spend, and conversion data into your unified e-commerce analytics dashboard. This lets you track Meta Ads ROI alongside your Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and commerce data in one place.
What Is the Meta Ads Integration?
MerchantFlow's Meta Ads integration syncs your Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads campaign data into MerchantFlow. This includes campaign-level performance metrics, daily ad spend, and conversion data that feeds into your P&L ad spend reports and marketing attribution views.
What You Need
Before connecting Meta Ads:
- MerchantFlow owner or admin access (check your role)
- Verified email and two-factor authentication enabled (Security Settings)
- A Meta (Facebook) user with access to the ad account you want to sync
How to Connect Meta Ads
- Start Meta Ads from onboarding marketing or Settings > Integrations
- Approve the Meta OAuth flow -- this grants MerchantFlow read access to your ad account data
- Open the Meta configuration step
- Choose the ad account to sync
- Save the configuration
You can reconnect Meta with a different account at any time from Settings > Integrations if your business or ad account changes.
What Data Does MerchantFlow Sync from Meta Ads?
- Campaign performance -- impressions, clicks, and engagement metrics
- Ad spend -- daily spend data for P&L tracking and ROAS calculation
- Conversion metrics -- marketing conversion data shown in MerchantFlow attribution views
Troubleshooting Meta Ads Issues
If Meta connects but no usable account appears:
- Confirm the Meta user has ad account access in Meta Business Manager
- Confirm there is an actual ad account attached to that Meta login
- Reconnect Meta and resave the selected account if access changed
- See Troubleshooting Integrations for additional diagnostic steps
