Shopify Billing for MerchantFlow

Shopify billing applies when you install MerchantFlow through the Shopify App Store. Instead of paying through Stripe, your MerchantFlow subscription is managed entirely through Shopify's billing system, with charges appearing on your regular Shopify invoice.

How Shopify Billing Works

When you install MerchantFlow from the Shopify App Store:

1. MerchantFlow creates a Shopify billing approval flow
2. You approve the plan directly in Shopify
3. The trial period and renewal behavior are managed through Shopify
4. All charges appear on your Shopify invoice - no separate payment method needed

Streamlined In-App Billing Page

On a Shopify-billed workspace, the Settings > Billing page inside MerchantFlow only shows controls that actually apply to Shopify billing:

• Stripe payment-method controls are hidden (they would open an empty Stripe portal)
• Stripe invoice rows are hidden (your invoices live on the Shopify side)
• A clear link points you to Settings > Billing in Shopify admin for payment methods and invoice history

This keeps the in-app billing surface focused on what you can change from MerchantFlow (tier, cadence, cancel) and avoids accidental clicks that would dead-end at a Stripe screen.

Trial Activates on Shopify Approval

The 14-day trial starts the moment you approve the AppSubscription in Shopify. Before approval, the workspace is in pending_onboarding and the trial clock has not started - so taking longer in onboarding does not eat into your trial. See Trial Period for the full lifecycle.

MerchantFlow Pricing Plans

Shopify App Store installs use the same three-tier public pricing as web signups (Starter, Pro, Plus). Annual billing is 20% off on every tier.

Why Shopify Billing Instead of Stripe?

Shopify requires apps distributed through the Shopify App Store to use Shopify's native billing system. This means:

• You do not enter a credit card in MerchantFlow
• Charges consolidate with your other Shopify app subscriptions
• Cancellation and refund policies follow Shopify's app billing rules
