Fix Empty Dashboard - No Data Showing
Fix an empty MerchantFlow dashboard by checking workspace mode, onboarding status, integration connections, and sync health step by step.
Fix Empty Dashboard - No Data Showing
No data showing in MerchantFlow means your dashboard displays empty KPI cards, blank charts, and no product data. This is typically caused by incomplete onboarding, disconnected integrations, or a sync that has not yet completed. Work through these checks in order to identify and resolve the issue.
Step 1: Confirm You Are Not in Demo Mode
Demo mode shows sample data and does not pull live store or marketing data.
If you expected live data, continue the real onboarding path from:
- the demo banner in the dashboard
- Setup Guide
/onboarding/commerce
Step 2: Confirm Live Onboarding Is Complete
For a production merchant workspace, make sure:
- a commerce platform (Shopify or WooCommerce) is connected
- onboarding is complete
- billing approval finished (Stripe or Shopify billing)
If the workspace never finished live onboarding, the dashboard will remain empty.
Step 3: Check the Current Sync State
Use the current sync surfaces:
- Click the Live indicator in the dashboard header
- Review the Integration Health panel
- Open Settings > Integrations if a provider looks disconnected or unhealthy
Step 4: Verify Your Integration Connections
Common missing-data causes:
- Shopify or WooCommerce is not connected
- the wrong GA4 property, Search Console site, Merchant Center account, or ad account was selected
- a provider OAuth connection was revoked and needs reconnecting
See Connect Integrations for setup instructions.
Step 5: Rerun the Right Sync
If the connection looks correct but data is stale:
- use Sync All Integrations from the Live indicator for a quick retry
- use Settings > Integrations > Manual Sync Runner for a provider-specific rerun
Step 6: Check for Provider-Side Delay
Some providers do not update instantly. MerchantFlow can only show data after the upstream platform makes it available. GA4 data has a 24-48 hour processing delay, and Search Console data can lag by 2-3 days.
When to Contact Support
If the workspace is fully onboarded, integrations look correct, and the data still does not appear, contact [email protected] with your workspace name and a description of what you see.
Frequently Asked Questions
I just signed up and my dashboard is empty. Is this normal?
Yes. After connecting your integrations, MerchantFlow needs to run its first sync to pull data from your platforms. This typically takes 2-5 minutes. Click the Live indicator and select "Sync All Integrations" to start.
How do I switch from demo mode to live data?
Follow the onboarding flow from the demo banner or navigate to /onboarding/commerce to connect your live store. Once onboarding and billing are complete, your workspace will switch to live data.
Why does my dashboard show data for some metrics but not others?
Different data sources sync at different times. Commerce data (orders, products) comes from Shopify/WooCommerce, while analytics data comes from GA4 and ad platforms. If only some sources are connected or synced, you will see partial data.
How long does the first sync take?
The first sync typically takes 2-5 minutes for standard catalogs. Large catalogs with thousands of products and extensive order history may take longer, potentially requiring multiple sync cycles.
