Connect Supply Chain Fusion to MerchantFlow

The Supply Chain Fusion integration pulls the freight Supply Chain Fusion (SCF) charges you for each dispatched order onto that order in MerchantFlow, so order and product profit include what you pay to ship.

Beta. The Supply Chain Fusion card is marked Beta in MerchantFlow while the integration is validated with live merchant accounts.

What Is the Supply Chain Fusion Integration?

Supply Chain Fusion is a third-party logistics (3PL) provider. Each SCF warehouse account is separate - if SCF fulfils for you in more than one country, for example Australia and the United States, you have one SCF account per country, each with its own API access.

MerchantFlow mirrors that: you add one connection per market. Each connection is scoped to its country and only ever costs orders shipping to that country. You can run it alongside another 3PL for other markets - for example Fulfilment Plus for New Zealand and Supply Chain Fusion for Australia and the US.

The integration is freight only. SCF stores and ships stock you already own, so your COGS keeps coming from your COGS setup.

How to Connect Supply Chain Fusion

For each SCF account (for example your Australian and your US account):

1. Log in to the Supply Chain Fusion portal at my.supplychainfusion.com and use Add API User to create an API user. Note its User Name and Password. Each SCF account needs its own API user - credentials from one country cannot be used for another.
2. In MerchantFlow, open Settings -> Integrations and find the Supply Chain Fusion card. Click Connect (or Add market account once one market is connected).
3. Choose the market this account ships to, for example Australia.
4. Confirm the billing currency - the currency SCF invoices this account in. It is pre-filled for common markets (AUD for Australia, USD for the United States).
5. Enter the API user's User Name and Password as the API user name and API password. MerchantFlow checks them with Supply Chain Fusion before saving.
6. Optionally enter the date SCF shipped your first order for this market. Orders placed before it are left alone.
7. Optionally, under Advanced, enter an order reference prefix if your store adds one to the order numbers it sends SCF (for example AU-).

Repeat for each market. A market can only have one SCF connection, and the same API user cannot be connected to two markets.

Before the credentials are accepted, MerchantFlow requires that your email is verified and, if your MerchantFlow account has a password, that two-factor authentication is enabled. You also need the integrations:manage permission, which owners and admins have by default.

Your API password is encrypted when saved and is never shown again after you connect.

What Data Does MerchantFlow Sync from Supply Chain Fusion?

For every order SCF has sent, MerchantFlow reads the dispatch's freight charge. That is the freight SCF charges you for the shipment - the carrier's cost plus SCF's margin - set when the shipment is booked with the carrier. If an order was sent in more than one dispatch, the freight of each dispatch is added together.

The freight is written as the order's fulfilment cost, labelled Shipping & 3PL fulfilment across your Orders and P&L, and converted from the connection's billing currency to your workspace currency.

Orders are matched on the order reference SCF holds for the dispatch, compared against your Shopify order number.

Carrier adjustments after delivery

Occasionally a carrier adjusts its charge after the parcel is delivered. SCF settles those differences on your SCF invoice; the freight charge MerchantFlow reads is not updated, so an adjustment does not appear in MerchantFlow. If you want one reflected, edit that order's fulfilment cost by hand - a cost you enter yourself is never overwritten by a sync.

When a cost shows as unavailable

MerchantFlow never guesses a freight figure:

• If a dispatch has no freight charge yet (or a charge of zero), the order's cost is marked unavailable rather than saved as zero. Any cost already stored for that order is kept, and MerchantFlow checks again on the next sync.
• An order SCF has not sent yet has nothing to cost until it is dispatched.
• If an exchange rate is not available, the cost stays unavailable until it is.

Which Orders Each Connection Costs

Each connection only costs orders whose shipping country matches its market:

• Your Australia connection never looks at US or New Zealand orders, and the reverse.
• Orders with no shipping country are not costed by Supply Chain Fusion.
• Orders to markets without an SCF connection keep whatever else costs them - another connected 3PL, or your fulfilment cost method.

What Supply Chain Fusion Does Not Supply

• Pick and pack, packaging, storage and other warehouse fees. SCF's API only provides the freight charge. Add recurring warehouse costs as expenses if you want them in your P&L.
• Tracking. Tracking already reaches MerchantFlow through Shopify.
• Product cost (COGS).

When Does It Sync?

Supply Chain Fusion freight is refreshed after each order sync. Orders still waiting on a freight charge are checked again on every sync; once an order has its freight, it is not re-read, because SCF does not change the value afterwards.

Each market has its own Sync now button on the Supply Chain Fusion card, and a manual sync with Full History depth re-reads every order from Supply Chain Fusion, including ones that already have a cost.

When you connect a market, connect it to a different SCF account, or change its billing currency, order reference prefix or first shipped date, MerchantFlow automatically re-reads that market's earlier orders the same way, so costs left by a previous account, another 3PL or the old settings are replaced with this account's freight where SCF shipped the order. Changing only the API password does not trigger a re-read.

Disconnecting

Each market is disconnected on its own: disconnecting Australia leaves your United States connection untouched. Disconnecting removes that market's stored credentials and stops its syncs. Costs already synced onto your orders are kept.
