15 Example Prompts

Once you've connected MerchantFlow to your AI client, try these. Each one is designed to showcase a specific v1 tool or workflow. Copy them into Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Windsurf as-is.

Weekly review

  1. "Summarise this week's P&L with comparison to last week."

  2. "Give me a growth opportunity scan - products with good margins but low ad spend, and channels with strong ROAS but flat investment."

Profit and margins

  1. "What are my top 5 most profitable products this month?"

  2. "Which products are losing money after ad spend? Exclude anything with fewer than 5 units sold."

  3. "Find any COGS gaps in my catalog that are affecting P&L accuracy."

Ad performance

Power user tip

The more specific your prompt, the better the answer. "How are my ads doing?" is weak - Claude has to guess the time window, the grouping, and what "doing" means. "What's my blended MER for the last 14 days compared to the 14 days before that, broken down by platform?" is strong - Claude knows exactly which tool to call and what parameters to pass.

If you install the MerchantFlow Skill file, your AI will learn to ask clarifying questions when a prompt is ambiguous, so even weak prompts will produce better answers.
